Have fun learning through pretend play

Dramatic pretend play is defined by experts as a type of play where children assign and accept roles and act them out.

It engages children in both life and learning. It’s real value lies in the fact that it increases their understanding of the world they live in, while it works to develop personal skills.

What kind of shop do you want to open? How about a Sweet Shop selling all types of lollies, candies and chocolates? Yum!

You can use items found around your house or order our Sweet Shop Activity Pack which has all the materials you need to set up a sweet shop.
